2013 Winter Classic
 

I may be behind the eight ball on this one, but I read that the rumors are official. The 2013 Winter Classic will be the Red Wings against the Maple Leafs and played at the Big House. They're even talking about close to 200,000 people attending. Wings, you going?????

I meant to post this here. I already erupted with joy on FB. I will definitely be going. Once tickets are for sale, I'll be on it. For sure.

200,000 people? I'm not sure that's possible. The Big House can only hold around 109, officially. I think 110,000 is how many could end up there. It'll be CRAZY.

This combines ALL of my sports worlds. I have been on cloud 9 since I found this out.

Don't know what I was thinking about the 200,000 people thing. Guess shock and excitement clouded proper thinking!!! This is gonna be awesome. I'm even looking into making a trip. Let me know when you hear when the tickets are going on sale.

Meant to post this yesterday after the Regents at U of M voted on this. It is officially official now.

They said when the tickets would go on sale?

No word on tickets yet. They will probably not dish that info out until this summer or even later.

The last WC didn't have tickets available to the public, but there are WAY more seats in the Big House, so they're probably developing a plan.

I hope so. My wife owes me a b-day trip (turned the big 4-0 today) to ease the pain of aging.
