'Grey's Anatomy' co-star: Heigl, Knight leaving

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- "Grey's Anatomy" cast member James Pickens Jr. says the medical drama will be saying goodbye to Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight.

Pickens, who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the ABC series, told Us Weekly magazine that Heigl and Knight are leaving.
Pickens says he wishes Heigl "nothing but the best," the magazine reported online Tuesday. He says his other co-star, Knight, wants to pursue other "career paths."
Publicists for Knight and for series creator Shonda Rhimes declined comment. Requests for comment from Heigl's publicist and ABC were not immediately returned.
Heigl, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens, starred in the films "Knocked Up" and "27 Dresses," and has another movie, "The Ugly Truth," coming out.

Although I think Heigl is a bit full of herself I think she's a hell of an actress AND her storyline with Denny was one of the most endearing in network television history AND I stand by my theory that the real reason he was killed off wasn't b/c it was the end of the road for the character in the producer's minds but that they didn't want Denny/Izzy competing with Derek/Meredith, particularly since D/M get on MY LAST FUCKING NERVE.

Yeah I love her on the show, but they really did some weird shit with her character this season. I think she probably got frustrated and decided enough was enough. I wish her luck in the future.

ok.... there is suppose to be a surprise wedding on this show...everyone is assuming its mer-der...... but my gut is telling me its mcsteamy and little grey!!!!!

mcdreamy was on the view and said izzie wasnt going anywhere...hmmm thought she would die under the knfe of mcdreamy, but looks like she is gonna be what pulls him up outta his little whole he's in.....
and ausiello said that PROLLY, owen is suppose to see something in george no one has ever seen and then george joins the military to be a dr for them.... hence; his exit

I'm thinking Izzie/Alex for the wedding, altho I wouldn't keel over if it was LilGrey/McSteam. I don't think it'll be MerDer, who would be surprised by that?

I loved that Alex agreed to do the donation, even tho he'd been being such an ASS in the beginning of the episode. And what was up with those friends not being there for Izzie - Bailey was right they better goddamn do better.

Owen strangling Christina in his sleep was bizarroworld, I'm glad he's seeking medical attention for that STAT. I wouldn't sleep with him (real sleep!) until he does. But I love that Christina stood by him, even with all that emotional stuff she's not so fond of.

Derrick's proposal had tears streaming down my face - that was a great scene!

It was a really good show last night, I'm glad GA is steppin up. It's been a bit bland. I hated the ghost Denny storyline.
