Okay, I heard that the NBA players union and team owners have reached a tentative agreement. If the vote passes (and many from both sides expect it to), there would be a 66-games season that would begin right around Christmas.

Ya, the first 3 games would be on Christmas. I'm kinda pissed. I wanted a whole season without the idiocy of the NBA.

I kinda did too, but I didn't want all those stadium workers out of a job for a year.

Ya, that's true. You have to think about those people as well. They'll get concerts here and there, but nothing like consistent sporting events in your stadium to give you a job every other night or so.

What about all the NBA players who signed overseas contracts?? Do you think it was contingent upon the complete cancellation of the season?

No idea. Technically it's not official yet. Sure it's likely, but the voting hasn't confirmed it yet. We'll see how it goes.

I'm just wondering if this will have a lasting effect, kinda like the NHL lockout of '05. That was a sad year. I walked around pissed for about a month.
